We have to recognize that shocks to essentials, like the energy sector have massive, massive implications for social and economic stability. Let me reiterate this point and that this results in a situation where basically it ends up being the worst of times for most of us, but the best of times for certain corporations that benefit very disproportionately from these kind of price explosions.
So i think looking forward, this raises the question of whether we can entrust the systemically significant sectors purely to these private corporations that have learned that the worst of times for everybody in the worst shock and the largest shock that Europe has experienced in recent history,
they have reaped the largest profits in their whole history.
